Ms. Ji was born in 1988 and became a professional golfer in 2006, when she was 18. At that time, she joined the South Korean professional tour.
She had won 20 tournaments by 2008, when she won her first major, the Ricoh Women’s British Open, at the age of 20. She was selected as the LPGA Rookie of the Year in 2009.
She has become one of the top professional golfers in the world.

In South Korea, there is much mass media coverage of both the Great East Japan Earthquake and the eruption of Mt. Shinmoe. An image has been painted of Japan as a dangerous place because of these natural disasters. However, Miyazaki is really peaceful and safe, and is a wonderful place to practice golf.
I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the victims of these natural disasters, and hope for the swift recovery of the devastated area.
As I am currently practicing in Miyazaki, the weather is perfect and I love the local foods. I think that the well designed courses at the Phoenix Country Club are among the best in Japan, just as I had heard. The course conditions are superb, and the hotel is very comfortable, too.
