Phoenix Seagaia Resort, Ms. Shin, and K・Physical Support Ltd. (Address: Kaname-cho, Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President: Mr. Keiichi Yamada) signed the agreement that Ms. Shin will act as a Japan/Korea good will ambassador of Phoenix Seagaia Resort. The purpose of this appointment is to contribute to the development of golf by sending promotional messages from Ms. Shin as the good will ambassador. Messages from Ms. Shin will be posted periodically on the Seagaia web site.
In 2006, Ms. Shin turned professional, winning 3 events, and becoming the female prizewinner of the year in Korea. On the Korean tour, she had 9 victories in 2007 and 12 in 2008. Since 2008, she has participated in tournaments in Japan as well as in US LPGA. She won for the first time in Japan at the “Yokohama Tire Golf Tournament PRGR Ladies Cup”, and won her first major tournament at the LPGA “Ricoh Women's British Open”. She has been recognized as one of the world top women players with 33 career victories.
